Fate is a Mountain is a book of true stories of one family’s rare experiences living, working and exploring in Glacier National Park during the 1950’s and 1960’s. The Parratts occupied the Sun Camp Ranger Station on Saint Mary Lake in Glacier before the station was removed. Their time spent in the Crown of the Continent will touch the hearts of all of those who love Glacier. Fate is a Mountain contains 23 stories and over 40 historical photographs – including many of the photos from Mark’s own personal experiences in Glacier.
The Montana House Regional Craft Shop was established in 1960 by Hans and Toni Jungster at Apgar Village just inside Glacier National Park’s west entrance. Their daughter, Monica, continues to carry on their mission to celebrate and promote the creativity of Montana artists and craftsmen along with the rebirth of Native American artistry. Montana House has also been a long-time supporter of Glacier National Park. For further information call 406-888-5393 or go to http://www.montanahouse.info.
